Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the release of the debut Audioslave album.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I do not do FaceTime.

The tendency for women to respond agreeably as a coping mechanism in conversational spaces where they are more likely to be interrupted or condescended to contributes to the invisible workload. (Photo for the algorithm, knowing full well it doesn’t matter anyway.)

Racist ideas are often served with humor. The humor allows both the producer and consumer to deny the ideas are racist.

I liked Joey Ramone. He was a really funny guy. One day he said he wanted to do a cover version of celluloid heros. I saw him a few weeks later and asked him how did you get on with celluloid heros. He said they gave up on it too many fuking chords

I am mad at him, too.

My wife is out with her friend. Her husband is watching their kids so she can go out. Wife’s friend gets a call from her husband: “Kids are too much, I need help.” Her friend apologizes & leaves. I was mad at this guy. Can’t imagine doing this to my wife. Or am I being unfair?

I’ll be buckin’ at the county fair.

Hop in! We'll be there by morning! #AmarilloByMorning

I loved everything about Kris Kristofferson. He was a poet of the everyday. You can find joy even in his sad songs - and that awareness of joy is what he calls a blessing. He’ll be missed.

Kris Kristofferson’s songs were pure poetry, rooted in the sanctity of everyday life. His contributions to Ken Burns’s Country Music added depth and authenticity to the story of that tradition. He will be greatly missed.
