Do u remember Bitza Pizza crisps from the mid 80s?! Found this nearly 40 years old packet on no a recent beach clean at #Bawdsey. The actual product probably took no more than a couple of minutes to consume yet its packaging has stuck around polluting the environment for decades.

If you want to be successful maintenance or landscape gardener, or just look after your own plot then this book will guide you past many of the mistakes & errors too easy to fall into. This vol (VII) is more of a gardening manual than others in series AutobyBobraphy. An excellent…

Show me the figures, the surveys, the scientific evidence. Preferably not evidence provided by P. Wood. Explain, in ecological terms, what is meant by 'surplus', or what evidence we have for the pristine eel population of the Severn.

The quantity arriving in the Severn is substantially increasing every season

I know that an apology will never go as far as a tweet to make people angry, but if you could retweet to let people know I'd be grateful.

I'd like to apologise for my recent tweet that has upset the farming community. In reflection, it was poorly thought out, and I regret any anger caused. I thought (wrongly) that inheritance tax might cause land prices to drop and access to land for others to increase, as well as…

Last batch of chilli jam. Thought I would double the chillies. I like a jam that bites back. Any ideas what to have it with apart from a fire extinguisher.

Tomatoes still going. It’s been a good year for toms. I will soon clear these and clean the greenhouse.

Quite possibly one of the most disturbing things ever said by a politician who has the job of serving the farming industry.

Of course it should be banned. Its those with a vested interest that keep perpetuating the myths that exploiting eels is for their own good. Its not pollution at all. My local river estuaries were far more polluted 20 years ago than now. Its exploitation of elvers and eels.

Eels have had their population reduced by 98% due to overfishing and greed It should be banned entirely

Who remembers this mental night against Leicester? Jason Scotland scores his second and Town's third in the 3-0 win. #itfc

It tastes nothing like salmon it is killing wild salmon and destroying the environment. If you buy free range eggs then why buy this. It is treated worse than battery hens. Don’t be fooled by RSPCA assured.

Please boycott Scottish salmon - it's time to take pharmed fish off the table!

That’s a lot of black holes.

How much generational debt will you and your incompetent cronies saddle the Country with? We don't want your communism. Not today not ever.

Hello Bob Would you be kind enough to give advice on apples? Braeburn and Cox are staying firmly on trees but are not really ripening. They are still very sharp and have a slight green tinge to the flesh. Spartan have been and gone and were good. Should I pick them and store.

Widely used in crab and lobster pots unfortunately. Not as abundant as they once were.

Flounder (Platichthys flesus) from one of our aquatic ecology surveys. Flounders exhibit a facultative catadromous life cycle (similar to eels), with some entering freshwater to feed and grow before returning to marine waters to spawn. They are a forgotten migratory fish in our…

To think these magnificent fish were almost extinct a short time ago. Lessons must be learned for the sake of all creatures. #anguilla
