"Our mission is, is to take the web stack and pull it out of the browser and give it to people to develop software that's that runs locally... but doesn't require this client server architecture exclusively." @heapwolf from @socketsupply sharing their team philosophy

Quick overview of the DXOS stack and our 3 public API's

This Thursday we’re diving into the intricacies of building open source startups with some of the best in the business Join @steveruizok @heapwolf @richburdon and @raymmar_ for a conversation about local first, spacial canvases, OSS and more twitter.com/i/spaces/1yNxa…

"People are getting tired of the current business models" @richburdon on why we have to find another way.

"One of our really strong convictions is that this is a thing that continues to help us scale to the demands that we're going to see in the next 10, 20 years of the growth of the Internet." @heapwolf from @socketsupply on the principles of peer-to-peer and why it's important

Next week we will host another X Space. This time we will be joined by @steveruizok from @tldraw as well as @heapwolf, @richburdon and @raymmar_ The conversation will center around COSS, Local-first software and Spacial Canvases. See you there! twitter.com/i/spaces/1yNxa…

"For a lot of applications, it doesn't make sense to put your data in a third party data center"

What if you could build a product as powerful as Google Cloud, without the centralized servers? That is the question we're trying to answer. Here's DXOS founder @richburdon discussing how we got here.

Starting in 30 min. Join @richburdon and @heapwolf as well as members of the DXOS team for a public conversation about the future of local-first software. twitter.com/i/spaces/1BdGY…

The only way to prevent things like this from happening is to build systems where a centralized entity cannot see or delete your data. Your data belongs to you. Not the tool you use to create it.

On September 9th, Notion will delete the data of all Russian users due to new U.S. sanctions. This is why "file over app" is essential — you should not be subject to the whims of platforms and governments. Be sovereign of your own data.

Tomorrow we will host a live chat with DXOS founder @richburdon as well as @heapwolf who is the founding engineer at @socketsupply Conversation will focus on the future of local-first software development and where the industry is headed. twitter.com/i/spaces/1BdGY…

A little sneak peek at what is coming soon with Composer. Say hello to open source, programmable documents. Manipulate data from any source, write custom functions and integrate across docs, sheets, tables and more. Join us tomorrow to learn more about where this is all…
