My latest textbook is out! Sports, Media, and Society has been published by @Human_Kinetics (1/x)

My latest journal article is live - looking at the @KBOleague documentary Full Count and all the cultural aspects demonstrated in the show.

A new case study is now available! @drkevhull and Dr. Choi present a fascinating case by looking at the Korean Baseball Organization through the lens of a 10-part documentary (Full Count), inquiring about the cultural influence of such documentaries. journals.humankinetics.com/view/journals/…

Happy to announce that the sports media major at @UofSC_SJMC has been approved and will start this upcoming fall semester. That's right - a sports media MAJOR. Here's all the information: sc.edu/study/colleges…

Thanks to @Human_Kinetics for the post about my new textbook.

NEW FROM HUMAN KINETICS: Sports, Media, and Society investigates the impact of societal issues in sports and how the media reports and frames those stories ecs.page.link/w9F3i. @drkevhull

My latest journal publication is about why local tv sports broadcasters are leaving the industry. You can read the full article in the link below.

Second new one is called: "Loved It, Miss It, Would Never Go Back: Why U.S. Local Television Sports Broadcasters are Leaving the Industry", authored by @drkevhull See it here: journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…

A big thank you to @CoachSBeamer for joining us in @UofSC_SJMC’s SEC Football and the Sports Media this morning. Lots of great insight on how he works with the media and his thoughts on the current state of college football.

Check out @UofSC_SJMC grad Stan Smith correctly predicting the exact Super Bowl score for @KLBKNews! Nice work, Stan.

Friday night, @_mattstell asked me to predict the score of the Super Bowl. Without really thinking, I said 25-22 Kansas City, admitting it was unusual. Do I have the script?

Thanks to @AsToldByDW and @dakotawatson803 for coming to “SEC Football and the Sports Media” today. It’s always great to have former @UofSC_SJMC students come back to speak to current ones about their jobs in the sports media.

Last week I attend the @AEJMC conference presented one of my favorite assignments: the Locomotives Social Media Plan from my Social Media for Sports Media class. It was especially rewarding to have it honored with @SportsAEJMC's first ever "Great Idea For Teaching" award.

Good luck to @bportnoy15 on his new gig. He did a great job covering @GamecockFB for @thestate and was always available to guest speak in our @UofSC_SJMC sports media classes. Our students are better because of his insights.

~Some personal news~ This is my final week at The State. Next week, I’m joining Sports Business Journal (@SBJ) as its new college sports reporter. Taking on a national role is a lifelong dream, but I want to use this time to thank everyone who’s made Columbia feel like home

Congrats to @UofSC_SJMC grad Jada Samuel @JadaMSamuel for being crowned Miss South Carolina! She's going to be a wonderful representative for this state and our school. Great job, Jada!

This is happening! In October I am going to run the Chicago Marathon as part of Team Ronald McDonald House. As part of the race, I'm fundraising to help this awesome charity. If you are willing to donate at this link, I'd appreciate it. support.rmhc.org/goto/KevinHull

Congrats to our @UofSC_SJMC Live TV Sports Production class for their successful broadcast of this past weekend's @GamecockSoftbll game. These students - all fresh. and soph. - learned all semester about putting on a live broadcast, and then crushed it during their final on SECN+
