-from an unknown author - Have you ever noticed how in the scriptures men are always going up into the mountains to commune with the Lord? Yet in the scriptures we hardly ever hear of women going to the mountains, and we know why — right? Because the women were too busy…
Here is a bit of information I would share with young Christians who aren’t finding quality dates, and it’s something I wish someone had told me when I was younger. Christianity is a culture. If you want to find love, you must find someone whose name is written in the Book of…

Crown him the Lord of years, the potentate of time, creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime. All hail, Redeemer, hail! for thou hast died for me; thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity.
It’ll soon become ubiquitous among upper class families to restrict kids under 16 from using social media. Hopefully the trend spreads to all families before too long. A hundred times easier to enforce the rule when all parents are doing it. thefp.com/p/jonathan-hai… @JonHaidt
Too often we prioritize sports and our kids "learning to work as team players" and allow that as an excuse to miss church. Then we wonder why these children do not grow up to follow Jesus Christ.
Survey info shows 70% of educators, leaders say students struggle with reading comprehension due to lack of vocabulary. Just last night my 7th grader couldn't decipher the meaning of a passage on The War of 1812 b/c he didn't know the word "forbade." edweek.org/teaching-learn…
When K4-2 slays, the work in 3-6 is immensely easier. Thank your early childhood teachers, like yesterday.
A lot of educators are punished for trying to do something about this.
Biblically accurate Angel 😳
If a 2nd grade word problem on a standardized test is written at a 3rd or 4th grade reading level, then you aren’t testing for math proficiency, you’re testing for above grade level reading ability.
Students spent an average of 2 hours a day in English classes, but only ~30 minutes in science or history. They'd be so much better served learning more about history, reading primary texts, discovering the world, than practicing "find the main idea" for 120 minutes a day
The Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System caught only 31% of the struggling readers. Burns called that level of accuracy "shocking," saying it was "quite literally the lowest I've ever seen." apmreports.org/story/2023/12/…
“To deny literacy to any people is one of the greatest crimes against human nature. It is to deny them the means of freedom and the rightful pursuit of happiness, and to defeat the very end of their being.” ~Frederick Douglass
Stripping social studies out of elementary schools was a disaster.
The most effective teachers in an elementary school building need to be teaching K-2 instead of high stakes standardized testing grades. The kids would struggle less in grades 3-5 if they had solid instruction in K-2.
