As a Family Physician in Alberta, I have no trust in @CMOH_Alberta, @shandro, or @jkenney This government does not have your safety or best interests at heart. You are on your own. cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

So proud of a fellow family physician for her eloquent discussion about the @UCP's new covid policies cbc.ca/player/play/19…

More urgent emails from AHS today: "The community of St. Paul is in desperate need of anesthesia coverage for July and August and ER coverage for July." When will @shandro admit that he has made a terrible mistake going to war with @Albertadoctors?

Well said.

Premier, you don't have to suspend the spring session. Just hold session in a school. You seem to think that's a magical Covid-free zone, right? Right? #ResignKenney

Whether it worries you that we don't know the long term health consequences for these kids, or the exposure to the unvaccinated teachers, or the ultimate spread to family members and societies... this graph is reason to rethink in person school right now. #COVID19AB

New cases of COVID-19 among kids & teens in Alberta. The province is now averaging about: • 315 new cases per day among ages 10-19 • 115 per day among ages 5-9 • 80 per day among ages 1-4 • 12 per day among those under age 1

This summarizes the contradictions of the @Alberta_UCP Giving rising covid #s it’s too unsafe for politicians to rtn to the legislation but it’s safe for patios to be open and for the rest of Albertans to be harmed by their inactions or half measures.

I am proud today to be among the Albertans now eligible to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. By choosing to be immunized, I am protecting myself, my family & my community. AZ remains a smart choice if you are 40+ & not part of phase 2B/C so you can get your vaccine quickly. (1/3)

Great graphic outlining vaccine risk.

As a community family doctor, I have been patiently waiting for my turn to get the COVID vaccine. I am disheartened to hear that many people who do not meet criteria for group 2B are lying and being vaccinated. It's time to vaccinate MDs. #Shandro #UCP @shandro

Regarding the AZ blood clot risk in ppl <55 years, why not ASK them if they want the vaccine instead of infantilizing them by not allowing them to have it.

This is going to negatively impact healthcare in Alberta in so many ways. We can expect the number of physicians leaving Alberta to exponentially increase under UCP government. #UCP #Shandro @shandro

Alberta is a place where the number of people that can gather socially during a pandemic is bigger than the number of people who can ask questions about it during a press conference.

Really encourage @AHS_media @CMOH_Alberta @GoAHealth @Albertadoctors to reaffirm to Albertans that weekend vaccination under-booking is NOT due to physician inaction. Many in Phase 1a are awaiting an invitation to book. Your physicians are waiting patiently, just like you.

So disappointing

Well this makes my post yesterday even more timely - 27% of AB will flat out refuse COVID vaccine - highest in the country. Unfortunately we also lead by every other COVID metric (# of active cases, cases/100,000, ICU, etc). This is a bad combination. cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

These are some scary numbers...

Here is a summary of today’s #COVID19AB update. We have identified 1,584 new cases with 12,195 active case across Alberta. There are currently 319 people in hospital with 60 people in ICU. (1/3)

With COVID numbers increasing, there are more demands from my practice. Patients are scared and need more time to support. It sure would be nice if there was a modifier for 03.03CV and I could actually bill for all of the time that I speak with them #shandro, #UCP., @shandro
