Quantifying how functional and structural personal factors influence biomechanical exposures in paramedic lifting tasks tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
I'm excited to have finished my PhD in the Occupational Biomechanics Lab (@BiomechErgoLab) at the University of Waterloo. In my thesis I investigated how a variety of personal factors influence the control and coordination of lifting strategy. hdl.handle.net/10012/19331
Check out some really interesting work by David that was recently published! This was a really fun project to be a part of.
Congratulations @DavidClusiault on your publication! David found that stronger lifters experience lower normalized spine loads (independent of gender) when performing a backboard lift. authors.elsevier.com/a/1etwXrfpelgR…
Are you interested in how we can fit the worker to the work with ergonomic interventions? Check out this blog post to hear about some of the ongoing research we have been doing in this area!
🚨OBEL Blog Post Alert: "Fitting the worker to the work: when it's time, here's how". Check out our latest post by senior PhD student @dparmstr as he describes some of his recent research. uwaterloo.ca/occupational-b…
Our students have been creating the ACE Student Transition Program The goal of the program is to assist ergonomics students in making the transition to professional work. Amazing job Christopher Moore, @dparmstr, and team drive.google.com/file/d/18CCK2c…
