Rationalization is dangerous. The most destructive lie is the one you tell yourself. "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; Who can know it?”  Jeremiah 17:9

There are always blessings & battles so don't be distracted by one or destroyed by the other.Blessings don’t mean we deserve nothing else & battles don’t mean we failed. We aren’t necessarily more righteous b/c we have blessings nor ever abandoned b/c we face battles.-Pastor Bryan

The gospel is displayed in attitude not just words. "By this (love for each other) they will know you are my disciples.”

Nothing strengthens relationships better than building trust, practicing humility, showing vulnerability, actively listening and demonstrating that you really care. It's not just emotional intelligence, it's leadership common sense.

A Post Election Prayer - Join me in praying for our newly elected leaders and the nation. Father, bless our land with peace, harmony, and spiritual renewal Check out new.ag.org for the full article.

Telling others how to solve their problems isn’t the best way to help them. Actively listen before aggressively suggesting.  #slowtospeak #quicktolisten

Stay in touch with those who love you the most, who will be with you no matter what. “By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

In preaching be careful in your attempts to be creative you don't cover up the truth or in your quest to be relevant you become irrelevant. Preach the word. It alone is transformational.

Happy Reformation Day! Today we are reminded of so much, but we especially thank God for Scripture, Jesus, and salvation.

No one is promised an escape clause from problems, but we are offered divine assistance; “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Character is built over a lifetime, but can be destroyed in a moment. Let friends speak into your life. "Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.” Proverbs 27:6

“If humility is never attained, arrogance is never eliminated.” #boom

When your tasks seem impossible – when your strength feels inadequate don't forget, "with God all things are possible.”

Talent may get you in the door; character keeps you in the room; the anointing gives you long term effectiveness  #bymyspiritsaysthelord

It's hard to think straight when your emotions are running wild. “Letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.“ Romans 8:6

“Faith is trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse.” Philip Yancey.
