Very much hoping something has been lost in translation here. No university can cut it's entire history department and still be taken seriously.

Devastating, short-sighted and shamefully irresponsible announcement by @UOW management today of 135 proposed sackings, including whole teaching departments such as history. All the while the VC is a partner in a consultancy firm reviewing the university’s operations. @NTEUnion
