Still in a state of shock at the loss of our colleague. Jessie was hands down one of the smartest people I've ever met. And most importantly, she was a fundamentally decent human being. I will miss her a lot.

My 81-year-old mom called 911 for someone unresponsive on the street. A stranger with naloxone came to help. My friend also lost her son, who lay dead on the street for two days. I always check on anyone who appears to be sleeping. Let's never walk by anyone without checking.
