I’ve put some real thought into the same dilemma: I have professionals following my Twitter. PLEASE let me remind my followers that this is a p e r s o n a l account. Yes, I primarily focus on science shit, but there is also gay and meme shit, which is like the WILD WILD WEST.
I had a long conversation with one of my postbaccs about which graduate schools in what states could now be unsafe for her as a Muslim Black woman and immigrant. I absolutely hate that it will never be a question of best research fit, but rather where will she have rights.
i just cannot stomach the idea of posting “representation matters” Filipino American History Month content when a literal holocaust is happening in Palestine. As a colonized people, we should be especially vocal about the horrors of colonial violence.
