I respect a DJ who plays for themselves, that plays the music that resonates with them. I'm not interested if an artist/DJ is only wanting to play the next banger to please the crowd. I wanna hear your SOUL when I'm on the dance floor.
Something I experienced in the crowd at Bass Canyon, during a heavy dubstep set, the DJ drops one bass house track….certain individuals get pissed off “wtf is this house shit”……like damn bro, you can use a little variety in your life my dude!
