Ok, I couldn't resist the temptation of the trend: I also asked ChatGPT to draw a picture of how it may think my life looks like based on what information it has about me... I must say I feel the AI has a very unbalanced and biased vision of me. But I don't completely dislike it

I just left the studio after recording an episode dedicated to Java for the Codeadores (@programandoOH) podcast. I enjoyed talking about #Java and its ecosystem with @MRonErlang The episode will be published on Tuesday afternoon, November 19. #StayTuned

I still have the first Visual IDE I used for Java. It was long before Visual Cafe, this is the end-of-degree project from my friend and classmate @indytw When JDK 1.2.2 was the “latest Java” It’s been a while but it was when I first got in contact with Java.

I must admit I'm starting to suffer from a severe condition: the VVS Thanks to @ilopmar, who immediately realized my problem and let me know after I sent him a video I recorded this morning My treatment starts watching this video twice a day for a week youtube.com/watch?v=dechvh…

And if you want to know how to get started and get the full picture of how this #FullStackJava developer looks like, don't miss the next double session by @MadridJUG (in Spanish). The session will be both in Person: meetup.com/madridjug/even… and online: meetup.com/madridjug/even…

If you are looking for a Java full-stack developer and your job posting contains Angular or React you are looking for half a Java and half a JavaScript developer. If you really want to do Java full-stack take a look at @vaadin vaadin.com

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction" E.F. Schumacher (I have also seen this quote attributed to A. Einstein)

look. im getting real tired of people suggesting my contacts app doesn't need a full microservices setup. moved from $8 to $48 droplet because APPARENTLY running elasticsearch + mongodb + postgres + redis + kafka with full event sourcing uses "too much memory". anw what do they…

This is excellent news - please spread the news. We have a new home for #Java concurrency aficionados. I've created an archive of the previous list here: github.com/kabutz/concurr…

🎉 Concurrency-Interest Mailing List finally has an OpenJDK successor: mail.openjdk.org/mailman/listin… #java #concurrency

Last year we had a lot of fun at the 29th Java anniversary @MadridJUG with some friends like @Sharat_Chander @antonmry @trisha_gee @icougil @ixchelruiz @heinzkabutz @deors314 👀👉youtube.com/watch?v=EZVvah… We want to do something bigger and greater for 30th anniversary...
