Hello friends! We'll be kicking open the doors on Yak#2 in Deptford on Saturday (assuming I can get our tiler Big Mad Andy to actually finish the work on time!). Located on Creekside in the Artworks, hope to see you there for a pint in the sun/cloud. ❤️

Drinking a fino sherry from Emilio Lustau in Jerez de la Frontera. Full of acetaldehyde: green apple, green almonds and olive brine, gracias a la flor. Interesting that these would be big-time off flavours in most beers, but very much part of the character here.

Kill the Cat's innovative original branch in Brick Lane closes end July, though thankfully the more bar-like Spitalfields branch will remain open. One of London's most interesting bottle shops but it seems the future is drinking in. @BeerGuideLondon @Pisci

#TBT📸 Say Cheese! What a lovely bunch! IBC loves the judges we work with. The each have an incredible amount of knowledge and expertise when it comes to beer. Cheers to beers! 🍻

Pleased to hear one of my fave brewers @Bridge_Brewer in Burton, whose owners have been trying to retire for some time, is continuing by merging with iconic neighbour @Heritagebrew & with the great @EmmaJCole as manager. Hope the DBA, Empire & Tickle Brain keep flowing!

Enjoying myself at @peckhamcellars which has the added advantage of being 20 mins walk from home. I’m in my dotage. I drink wine now.

At @CAMRA_AGM Caird Hall Dundee getting ready for my cask tasting & just spotted the venue was a location for one of my fave hidden gem films An Englishman Abroad (1983) when it stood in for the Bolshoi in Moscow.
