Thank you for your support this Remembrance Day - we raised £104 for the Royal British Legion. The whole school came together at 11am this morning to hold a 2 minutes silence in remembrance of those who have lost their lives in conflict around the world.
Some of our Year 6s enjoyed their first Aspire Higher session this week. The programme is designed to provide children with the opportunity to engage in activities that will empower them to make informed decisions about their future. Thank you @genesisimpactorg! #aspirehigher

Our KS1 book sale was amazing! Children were happy to find books to read with their parents at home. We raised £85.
In Silver Class, we learned about Diwali and why it is celebrated. We made colourful lanterns and created Rangoli patterns.

Yesterday, children in EYFS and KS1 enjoyed an Outer Space workshop from Drama4ALL. The children learnt to move confidently in a variety of ways, and really enjoyed their Space travel! Thank you, @perform_uk for another wonderful workshop! #drama4ALL #creativity #EYFS #KS1

Silver Class created a tree of kindness , expressing what kindness means to them and how you can show kindness acts.
Deptford Park will be joining thousands of schools across the UK and taking part in Hello Yellow in support of YoungMinds next Thursday 10th October (World Mental Health Day). We will be holding a non-school uniform day and asking everyone to wear something yellow.

World Afro Day 2024 This years Afro Day was full of anticipation and activity! KS2 "hair models"; Nevaeh in year 5 and Melita in year 3 had their afro hair styled into space buns and cornrows by "hairstylists" Val and Marie, during our special assemblies.
Silver Class have been having fun exploring paint to print natural objects. Exploring how printing works, experimenting with mixing colours and, appreciating nature.
We are holding open mornings every Wednesday at 9.30 - If your child is due to start in Reception in September 2025 come along and have a tour of our school and meet our Team.
