Found this little leaflet today. Still showing that the Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of those right-wing fascist bridges. Can't be crossing that.

This is not a real Swede. Embarrassing.

A Swedish minister's phobia of bananas has led officials to insist rooms are free of the fruit ahead of any meeting or visit, according to reports 🍌 🔗 Read more trib.al/OYYBtAT

Since I stopped being a "working person" I've really turned my life around. I am currently travelling on the world's most expensive form of transport (a British Train), while enjoying what I understand to be a typical middle-class meal.

Didn't want to be one of the "working people" anyway. Peasants.

You have to admire Starmer in a way. Sends a bunch of Labour members to the US to destroy Harris' campaign, then turns around and copies Trump. Wish I had that kind of audacity.

Starmer may have heeded warning from Democrats' election defeat Read more🔗 trib.al/BCRI0Up

I would probably suggest that if you find news reports that upsetting, then maybe you shouldn't be working in the field of.. well.. reporting the news.

🚨 NEW: Guardian staff have been offered free counselling and support following the ‘very upsetting’ US election result [@GuidoFawkes]

Unless someone just dropped a nuke on St. Albans, I think Daisy might be going a little overboard here.

This is an undeniably dark day and millions of people around the world will be afraid of what comes next. It's now more important than ever that we stand together, organise and continue to fight for our liberal values of equality, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

Have to admit. Food peaked in Germany in 1963.

After changing fiscal rules to allow unpaid student loans to be regarded as an asset on the gov balance sheet, the government go ahead and increase student loans 🤔

🚨 BREAKING: The government's full changes to tuition fees from Sep 2025 - Fees will go up from £9,250 to £9,535 - Maintenance loans in England will rise by around 3.1% - extra £414 a year for students - Foundation year courses lowered to £5,760

Happy hour pints in the Bristol city centre O'Neill's have just gone up to £4.25 from £4. If my maths is correct, I don't actually believe my pint is cheaper.

This is a Budget with cheaper pints. #Budget2024

I can definitely relate to these farmers' children. As the son of a librarian, I, too, was not able to inherit a farm. A great injustice.

Rachel Reeves had fucked all farmers, she has destroyed their ability to pass farms on to their children, and broken the future of all our great estates, it is an appalling decisions which shows the government has ZERO understanding of the what matters to rural voters.

I guess we've finally found out what they meant by a "proper windfall tax". Turns out the Tories were only 3% out. Imagine that eh.

Rachel Reeves will also raise the windfall tax on North Sea oil and gas producers from 35% to 38% starting November 1, extending the levy by an additional year until 2030 as part of a manifesto commitment

As usual, he is spot on. It is even better if your train is delayed on an expenses paid work trip. At that point, it's just pure unadulterated profit.

I fail to understand the weird demonisation of shareholders in this country. 23% of people in the UK own shares, compared to 62% in the US. Consider the FTSE100 has returned over 16% in the last year, this is something the government should be actively encouraging.

“‘Won’t someone feel sorry for the landlords?' Cry me a river.” As landlords and shareholders are set to face a tax hike on unearned income, @mrjamesob finds it ‘extraordinary’ that anyone could sympathise with them.

🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer says Brits who get additional income from stocks don’t count as ‘working people' [@Bloomberg]

Say what you will about this policy, but it strikes me as very bizarre to be either surprised or angry about the fact that people are happy and celebrating the fact they've been released from prison.

🚨 NEW: No 10 says Keir Starmer is 'angry' over early-released prisoners celebrating being picked up in Rolls Royces and Bentleys this morning, including one who said ‘Big up Keir Starmer'
