Today marks my last day as GCS at Hopkinsville Country Club, very proud of the progress we’ve made and thankful for all the great people that have been a part of it, now it’s on to a new challenge and new adventure, stay tuned

Great day for golf at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club, heading into the weekend with a double-cut and roll, PGR/foliar on greens, bunker prep, fairway and rough units out, getting settings dialed in on nursery ahead of aeration 💪

Busy morning - mowing greens at new height, rolling, mowing tees, fwys, and rough, weedeat detail, blowing debris and foliar on greens, chilly 40 degrees.

4/12/22 v. 4/12/21…first picture sums up our spring this year, or lack thereof, what isn’t flooded is still pretty dormant #frustratedsuper

With cool, cloudy, and wet dominating the forecast (and the entire spring so far) 🤮 good day for a Fame/Segway app on greens, no cart restrictions yet for those that care to play.

Couldn’t ask for better weather…65 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, no wind, low humidity, feels like spring! Nothing better than living in the country!

12 PM soil temp check in full sun…still not much happening with the bermuda tees and fairways, thankfully not the case with greens, course ready for this weekend’s Masters Par 3 Scramble 👍

Doesn’t look like much but it’s the difference in obliterating 1/3 of the tee while the other 2/3 goes unused and being able to evenly spread out wear. Hole still sets up for a cut shot, just doesn’t have to be as drastic.

Johnson’s Tree Service doing a great job as always, before and after #5 tee corridor, 14 to get same treatment mañana

Getting the steps in this afternoon applying @AndersonsTurf 18-0-5 Allectus to tee complexes, also appears that the few nights in the low 30’s hasn’t caused the tifeagle to lose much color

Another gloomy day but tees are getting their first haircut of the year, #4 & 10-18 still CPO, staff rolling greens, changing cups, mowing grn/tee surrounds, out of play rough and more

Sun shining for now, received 1.3” of rain yesterday afternoon and overnight, course is saturated and is cart path only

First fairway mowing of 2022 going down today then blowing clean ahead of our 25-0-10 Ronstar application later this week, bunkers getting some attention today as well, no cart restrictions!
