Very curious how this Erdtree discussion would differ if it had been sold like Uncharted: Lost Legacy or Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It makes sense to me, but I'm also not a fan of how crazy deep you have to get into Elden Ring to find it, and you practically need a guide too.
I'm not too surprised with the TGA nominee spread. I still think that Game Direction is the biggest category on the chopping block, if we're collectively not finding the distinction between that and GOTY. This year could really have used a puzzle-focused genre catefory though.
