This morning I didn’t want to go out the door and head to work, but at the very last minute I found the thickest wool socks I had forgotten I had.
I came home from work and passed out on the sofa. Woke up hours later and clicked on a random channel and came across an old episode of NewsRadio. Wow. It’s surreal to think about the fortunes of the actors in the 20 plus years since it aired… Joe Rogan used to be cute.
I’m always amazed by how amiable the late night clerks at the Plaid by me are, considering the carnival of souls they have to contend with on the graveyard shift.
In hindsight, the nineteen eighties was such a barbaric time.
I make the most inappropriate jokes to kids. ‘That chair is an OSHA violation waiting to happen!’
I thought they’d wait until after Thanksgiving, but I see tonight the Martini Glass is lit.

Am I misremembering, or did the TSA line really used to have a sign warning us not to make smart ass jokes when asked if we had packed a bomb in our luggage?
The businesses in the U.S. Bancorp Tower are nearly empty but the people running them seem very sweet. They deserve more patronage. I hope they are fronts for something illegal and lucrative.
One of the things I’m missing about fall is going to Portland Nursery’s festive annual apple tasting. No idea why they don’t do it anymore. I saw on their website they had a cactus event. That’s no consolation.
I hate getting early morning texts from aspirant catfishers asking how I’m doing and telling me it’s been too long. Sometimes it feels like they’re the only ones who care.
Again getting my ballot in at the very last moment. This time I have an excuse: my signature is far too pretty to risk it getting destroyed by an incendiary device.
That’s an awful lot of plywood. I’m sure come tomorrow we’ll chuckle at ourselves for having thought such measures were necessary.
Is ‘inside voice’ not a thing anymore? It’s like people feel they have to talk loud to be heard over the silence.
Got home to find my ballot has arrived. And this time it feels heavier than usual.
