Delighted to have been able to represent the island at the 33rd British Irish Council meeting in Dublin. Meeting with other health ministers to discuss our substance misuse strategies and being able to share policies and ideas.
Congratulations to the Radiology section and Manx Breast Cancer Support Group for their win at last nights Awards for Excellence. Very much deserved and team work at its best.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Roger Watterson. He was a brilliant broadcaster with a sharp mind and a very quick wit. I always enjoyed all of the interviews I did with him for over a decade (if not always answering all the questions!).
Congratulations to a good friend of the Isle of Man’s @LindsayHoyle_MP on his election as Speaker of the House of Commons. Also in making history as the first Speaker ever elected a day before the dissolution of a Parliament and the first Speaker ever from Lancashire.

Encouraged that the needs of the Crown Dependencies are fully factored into UK plans to avoid shortages of meds & appliances post-Brexit. Positive meeting in Whitehall with Minister of State @eargar to ensure ongoing flow of drugs to the 3 CDs, our concerns as islands understood.
