i really dont understand why y'all act so shocked whenever there is british english in fics instead of american english. a lot of us in other countries have been taught british english & not american. how hard is it to ignore an extra "u" in spellings 😭

Lots of people talking about the Best Actress race. I just want to say that the best performance of the year still belongs to Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres in I’M STILL HERE. I know general audiences haven’t seen it, but it’s certainly been screening for press/industry.
There are few more horrifying scenes in film this year than Eunice’s first interrogation by the Brazilian army in the searing I’m Still Here. A stomach-turning story about how easily, and brutally, idyll is shattered by fascism. Fernanda Torres’s performance is soul-crushing.
