During my recent Christmas road trip to Salem and Portland I stop at a few various spots along the way for a "Be Kind" photo with the Subaru.
Frozen Scout lake yesterday, one of Central Oregon's popular summer swimming lakes frozen solid along the edges. I had my ice skates in the Subaru, I almost grabbed my skates and went for a skate. Instead I snowshoed from Scout lake to Cache mountain, no view at the summit.

Blowing snow, sunshine, fun shadows, North Sister and the view on Black Crater yesterday.
Snowshoeing Black Crater today with my friend Sean. Windy today with an early season snowpack, we found many holes in the snow around logs and Manzanita bushes. Trout Creek Butte Road is drivable with a high clearance vehicle.
