Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, what a paragraph...

Tweet Image 1

What makes you feel alive? What fills you with meaning and value? Do it as hard as you can.

How beautiful it is to breathe through a peaceful moment. To be alive and acknowledge that, right now, it’s ok.

Hiding from the truth will only cause you harm.

Meditation is simply looking inward. There are thousands of ways to achieve this.

Have you ever tried living with total honesty? Without holding anything back?

No ideology is going to heal the wounds of your inner-child.

We are all fragile idiots, full of insecurities and uncertainties. Hate no one. Idolize no one.

Why would you deny yourself the beauty of your truth?

Cultivate relationships with people who ask nothing of you. Ask nothing in return. This is the origin of genuine love and intimacy.

Don’t hide your pain. Embrace it. Wear it. Confront it. Let yourself conquer it, and grow stronger than it.

You can only love yourself as much as you love another.

Whatever it is, it’s okay.

Slow down.

You can live under delusion for your entire life if you remain in an echo chamber. Confront uncomfortable ideas. Delve into the abyss. Uncover truth.

You can’t isolate yourself from the world. Meditation, wellness practices, health food, whatever - enjoy it. But at the end of the day, what matters is how you walk through the fire of reality.

Meaning in life comes from finding things outside yourself for which you would willingly sacrifice yourself.

Be honest. Painfully honest. With yourself and others. Watch your life transform in bizarre and liberating ways.

Dig into your painful feelings. This can be deeply painful and unsettling. It can also release you from your suffering. Thats where the real work is done.

If you can go about your day without being unpleasant to strangers, you will have done the world a great favor.
