Saturday Book Review! This week’s selection: Out of the Pocket by @KirkHerbstreit I love college football. Always have and always will. So it’s only fitting that as I’m in State College for Penn State’s matchup against Washington tonight, I review a book that features college…

Saw this first hand and still got chills watching it.

The Recap: White Out Win vs. Washington 🎬

Next week’s review is in the can! I’ll be reviewing: Cold Peace by Helena P. Schrader. Thanks to @BookTasters for the connection! Some solid historical fiction set during the weeks and months leading up to the Berlin Airlift in 1948. Going to spend some time tonight with…

Just finished a solid historical fiction in Cold Peace by Helena P. Schrader! The Berlin Airlift was always lost on me as a moment of high tension and drama, coming on the heels of WWII. This novel majorly reframed that narrative for me! Thanks to @BookTasters for the…

Tonight’s reads: Sam Gunn Jr. by Ben Bova (some old school sci-fi) Cold Peace by Helena P Schrader. My Kindle says I’m about 80% through this one. Thanks to @BookTasters for the connection.

Next week’s review is in the can! I’ll be heading to Happy Valley for PSU/Washington so it’s only fitting to drop a college football themed review. I’ll be reviewing Out of the Pocket by @KirkHerbstreit

My feed this morning has been nothing but doom and gloom after yesterday’s Penn State game. I’ll admit I contributed to the “James Franklin go away” narrative, but realistically who are thy going to go out and get? That being said, it’d just be nice to win a big one here and…

I also don’t ever want to hear Gus Johnson’s voice call again.

A playoff berth is still possible, but what hurts is that this one was there to be had AGAIN. And yet AGAIN the coaching staff fails to deliver. As much as it sucks, I guess I’d rather be consistently 10-2 than a bottom feeder.

Ok. I’ve seen enough. I’m saying it now. Thought this team turned a corner, but when you absolutely had to have it, the coaching staff fucks these kids over again. I’m done. Franklin can get on 322 and take his ass out of State College.

I will never never understand play calling. Ever. James Franklin did it to himself again.

Mistakes and the inability to throw the forward pass will be the undoing of Penn State.

Well. You’d have to think things would be different if we had good receivers. #OSUvsPSU

Second half team?! Maybe?

Well. Things probably about to go from bad to worse in Happy Valley, but here at Denny Field in Shaler, we’ve got my guy’s last soccer game of the season.

Feels like the Buckeyes are getting an awful lot of help from the officials today.

Saturday Book Review! This week’s selection: Wasps in the Ice Cream by @TimMcGregor1 The summer in between my freshman and sophomore years of college was the best summer of my life. I loaded trucks all day, trained for soccer before dinner, and when the sun went down, drove…

Read and reviewed this over the summer. Unbelievably good read! The reveal of the Nahanni Valley was one of my favorite parts of a book I’ve read this year.

For those who've read Valley, did you know the cover represents a significant story element? The black ram is standing over a fallen ram whose horns are visible. That ain't grass in the ram's mouth. This is a snapshot of the brothers' journey in the story and prior to it.

Tonight’s reads: Still plugging away at some historical fiction with Cold Peace by Helena P. Schrader, but Halloween Eve also calls for some Autumn Gothic by @BBowyerAuthor
