North Greene HS softball tryout is 10am - Noon on Wed., May 29. New and current students who plan to play should attend this tryout. Sports physical and other forms dated after 4/14/2024 are required to tryout, per TSSAA. Contact Coach Weems at NGHS if you have any questions.
The Lady Huskies' season came to an end today in the State Sectional game with a 0-7 loss to Wartburg Central. This is a great group of girls, and we will miss our two seniors, Haley and Heidi, who have been with us for four years. Thank you girls, and best wishes to you both!
The North Greene verses Cloudland Region Championship game (at Unaka) has been rescheduled for 2:15 tomorrow (5/16) afternoon (due to NG’s 7pm graduation)
Congrats to these girls!! Tonight’s 4-3 Region Semifinal win at Cosby advances the Lady Huskies to the Championship this Wed. at 5:30 verses Cloudland (to be played at Unaka) and secures a berth in the State Sectional game on Fri. Plan a short trip to support these girls.
Lady Huskies finish as runners-up in D1A 🥎tourney, losing to Cloudland today 6-1. Will now travel to Cosby Monday 5/13 for 6pm Region tourney semifinal (elimination) game.
🥎 Lady Huskies will play Cloudland again Saturday 5/11 at 1:30 at Unaka in the Championship game. Winner hosts Hancock County on Monday and loser travels to Cosby.
Lady Huskies win 2-0 verses Cloudland and advance to the title game tomorrow (Fri 5/9) at 7pm at Unaka verses Unaka/Cloudland winner. Today’s win advances NG to region play next Monday. Come to Unaka to support the girls in the 7pm championship game if you can).
