I find it’s inside us. While external factors (culture, groups) define prototypes of identity (a hard charging Marine), we actually choose based on our innate gifts. You already carry it with you. Write it down. You’ll discover your path in your own way.
What do you find identity in? Wrestling with this a lot as I prepare for my military-to-civilian transition. Feeling awkwardly in the in-between of who I’ve been and who I aspire to be.
