This. As someone who loves frontend engineering, there needs to be a balance. Unless your motive is to just win design awards or get popular, your website’s first focus should be on how to convert well.

I'm just going to say it: Your website sucks. Yes, the one you spent $20k on. It's slow, hard to navigate, and doesn't make people buy. But hey, at least it looks pretty.

I always create designs centered around a particular vibe, design philosophy, or major art movement. It’s much easier to maintain consistency and a clear message that way

Stop relying on trends. Trust your taste. Grow your creative confidence.

I am a little biased, but the front end of a product gets much more criticism, so the visibility of front end devs on product-forward teams is higher.

Backend Developers are the real heroes

As my life undergoes changes, I am excited to be back and much more active on X once again!

this is so real

RIGHT ON! @csvidit spends 360% more time coding than tweeting shiptalkers.dev/compare?name=c…

I am all for using component libraries/snippets for your websites, but if you're gonna copy-paste stuff, make sure it integrates/works well with your existing UI or design philosophy!

This is such a great resource!

What do you use for form input validation in React/Next.js?

Just discovered one of my new favorite fonts, Onest. Much more playful than Inter or Manrope, yet clean enough to be suitable for all applications. onest.md/en

trying to get a lot accomplished this week, but first, new domain alert! vidit.fyi, now redirects to my portfolio.
