RBC CEO Dave McKay says organizations need a window into the greater world to sync with societal shifts. Former @globeandmail EIC @StackhouseJohn keeps @RBC engaged in wide dialogue and inquiry in an editorial mode, fostering a culture of learning and adaptivity. #rbcdisruptors

Creating a culture of learning is a social project. The pace of tech change makes this more urgent than ever, but human-centered responses are necessary to enable interdisciplinary collaboration. @StackhouseJohn speaking with @PellerVQA and @ArrellFoodInst at #rbcdisruptors

.@tomwalsham of @TWG taking an active role to moderating—instigating?—the panel discussion at #uxrconf. It's great to see panelists pushing back at each other. Such dialogue is essential to keeping functions like research and product engaged with broader org development.

It's great to see the @ONgov so thoroughly embrace design-led approaches, across functions like digital modernization and policy innovation alike. Feels like a real movement!

NFL content distribution and digital product strategies are designed in coordination with tweaks to the game itself. Even further integration is needed—the NFL's relevance depends on deeper cultural factors than products / content. Maryann Turcke speaking at #rbcdisruptors

Last year's @SDNCanada conference left such an impression of connection across the country. Looking forward to reconnecting with some familiar faces and meeting more service designers from across Canada. #CONVERGE

The #CONVERGE organizing committee is putting the final touches to the conference. Anyone else super excited about tomorrow?

Takeaway from this talk: Traditional notions of The Public have shifted. The public/private divide has blurred. Now there is great opportunity for publicly-minded organizations to re-center individuals and embrace the energy inherent in pluralism, diversity, and participation.

On Nov 29, #KateFowle, Chief Curator for @garage_mca in Moscow and Director-at-Large at ICI in New York, visits Toronto to present her talk, "The Reflexive Museum," as part of MOCA's The Museum Is Not What It Used To Be series: moca.ca/shop/kate-fowl…

It's our first time visiting the new @autodesk space at @MaRSDD for the @Strategists_TO #DesignStrategists event. Great to see this series get such traction so quickly with a focus on high quality panels.

Empathy is a muscle. It can be built, it can be exercised and it can be learnt. Well said Dave MacLoed @thoughtxchng #HELM #culture

"Working this way is contagious." @markusgrupp has involved team members across functions, spreading the methods of human-centred design.

Focus on customer experience begets focus on employee experience. Fast testing and learning through collaborative prototypes helps both.

Such solutionism commonly triggered when we try to chase competitors. Human-centred perspectives can keep you grounded to set a better frame

Try not to start projects by presupposing solutions. "Let's build a smartphone app..." is one solution @markusgrupp sees most commonly.
