The Prophet ﷺ said: "Keep the ties (of kinship) with the one who cuts the ties with you. Do good to the one who does evil to you. Speak the truth even if it is against yourself." [Sahīh Al-Jām'i #3769] Surely the Deen teaches that which requires striving against one's soul!
