But another wait is over, congrats to Norm for publishing a first release of XML Calabash 3: lists.w3.org/Archives/Publi…. XProc 3 has another (the second, no?) open source implementation.

My last full day in Canberra after the Fantastic Futures AI conference. I went for a walk from my friends' place up into the hills. Currawongs were swooping with abandon, calling loudly to announce the onset of dusk, and a mob of kangaroos were grazing along the ridge line.

"People are sick of the bull**** in here." This is how a reporter confronted US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller about alleged American double standards over the war on Gaza.

Temu's "shop like a billionaire" tagline is so weird. I'm not a billionaire and never will be, but I know this much: billionaires are not on here buying plastic buckets that clip onto kitchen cupboard doors to conveniently catch vegetable scraps

The best thing about reading this story isn't imagining Janet Albrechtsen, lost and alone in the Canadian wilderness, being stalked by a bear; no: it's the twisted pleasure to be found in vicariously experiencing the delusions and irrationality of a psychopath.

Planet Janet is hilarious today - why the nanny state is to blame for me getting lost in a Canadian forest after I ignored park signage.

#BREAKING New survey showing 45% of Americans do not expect peaceful transfer of power underscores urgency of international efforts to shore up democracy in the fragile, oil-rich republic, long plagued by political violence and ethnic divisions, as presidential elections loom.

I saw the magnificent Draino the Eastern Water Dragon at Rocky Waterholes Creek, at half past four this afternoon (about an hour before sunset). ❤️

Looks like I may have acquired a new hobby

Guess who's just got out of a linocut printing class?

I saw a few dragons at Rocky Waterholes Creek this morning, including this little fellow who first hid and then poked his head up to have a look at me. It's always worth waiting when a dragon hides, because they are curious critters that find it hard to resist peeking

Can't wait until July when this movie is out! Hopefully by then I'll have forgotten these 12 spoilers

As probably the finest writer of my generation, I'm always eager to offer tips to up-and-coming young writers on how to succeed in the biz. Today's lesson is on how to write a great screenplay for a rom-com 👍

All these ritual sacrifices to the communist crocodile gods are an unwarranted financial burden on the cattle and cane farmers of North Queensland.

Not in a million years would you guess where this question from Bob Katter is going. Truly incredible stuff. I love democracy.

This is a brilliant explanation by physicist @hsu_steve of the enormous mistake the US made with its semiconductor sanctions on China, basically sanctioning its own firms and creating a huge market opportunity for Chinese companies.
