I can tell you this about healthcare, because I have been doing this for 25 years. There is an insane amount of corruption in healthcare. It's usually even worse than you think it is, and it is in every sector of the industry.
A recent report found that the for-profit US healthcare system ranks last among peer nations. We spend twice as much per capita on healthcare and have the worst health outcomes. Reminder that Medicare For All would save $450B in health care costs and 68,000 lives per year.
Last year, the 7 largest private health insurers collected $1.39 trillion in profit. It is absurd that Big Insurance is raking in trillions while Americans are pinching pennies to afford treatment. We need Medicare for All now.
