Five ways to impress your coach and earn more playing time: 1. Work your hardest 2. Have a great attitude 3. Be coachable 4. Be a great teammate 5. Be a leader

Want to play more minutes? It starts with PRACTICE! Dominate PRACTICE! Be the best at PRACTICE! If you care as much about practice as you do your minutes, chances are you’ll start to play more.

Dear Players, I coach you because I care about you. I challenge you because I believe in you. I cheer you on because I know you can. I hold you accountable because I know life will. I tell you the truth because I know most will not. Sincerely, My Why

You can buy your kids a phone; pay for college, a car. You can buy sporting equipment & uniforms, but you can’t buy their success. If they want it, they will have to work for it & earn it. Success isn’t easy. It’s gritty & hard. The price is a lot of extra work, trials & failure!

If a coach has to beg you to lift weights, you’re probably going to beg him for playing time.

PLAYERS: If you feel like you have nothing to prove, then you'll never improve. Every day is a chance to get better. Never be content. Never be satisfied. Keep grinding. Work every day like you're trying to make the team!

If you’re the hardest worker on your team, don’t go down to your teammates’ level. Push them to work harder to get on your level!

Who is by far your toughest opponent? Look in the mirror. You must fight lazy & soft every day; it’s completely unacceptable. Don’t let yourself make excuses. Be demanding of yourself. Hold yourself accountable. If you don’t expect greatness of yourself, no one else will either!
