3 dead-simple high performance lessons from sports: • Control what you can • Accept what you can’t • Focus on what’s important now Greatness is simple, not easy.

Geno is a great coach and a coaches coach - as well as a players coach . Unique combination . Appropriate to share with Chris - the same kind of coach . I respect and admire both for unselfishly filling their roles . @UConnWBB @BIGEASTWBB @CBSSportsCBB @tntsports

Chris Dailey got emotional when asked about Geno Auriemma sharing tomorrow's festivities celebrating their 40 years together in addition to Geno setting the NCAA wins record "I don't know of any other head coach that would be as willing to share the limelight as he is"

After hearing them discuss cutting and how they value it/incorporate I their offense, it's easy to understand why they're leading the league in offensive efficiency

Everybody looks at the threes, but it’s more than that. It seems so simplistic, but I was really curious: Can cutting be just as effective as stretching the floor with shooters on the perimeter while playing five out? Asked Kenny Atkinson and the #Cavs. Outstanding insight.

The easiest way to improve your team is by reinforcing shot selection. Within the 'gold, silver, and bronze medal’ shot framework, you can encourage players to seek out the most efficient shots. Anything inside the restricted area (gold), catch-and-shoot threes (silver), and…

One of my favorite things to see within basketball development is people putting THEMSELVES in a box because of pride or to confirm biases. Evidence based training people will criticize form shooting because it doesn’t align with what they think. Old school/anti-analytics…

Every parent, coach and player should listen to this. Maybe listen twice just to let it sink in.

USE SHOT FAKES It’s such an advantage for an offensive player and hardly anyone uses them There are guys that never shoot, who have people jumping on every possession with shot fakes Perfect it early, and make it part of your game

Would have loved to have been taught this at an early age! It took 87 offensive fouls, and a year with Ralph Willard to start playing of two feet. Almost every kid has no idea how important this is.

When you realize playing off two feet gives you MANY more options than off one, your game completely changes and opens up! Especially for undersize/less athletic players. If it’s good enough for JALEN BRUNSON , it’s good enough for you!🤷🏻‍♂️🏀 #basketball #basketballtraining

You could replace players with coaches and be spot on too….

Players’ responses to setbacks is their capacity for greatness Pout—immaturity; not ready Make excuses—no accountability; not ready Blame self—too much accountability; almost ready Compile data & seek ways to correct—maturity; ready #Basketball #Capacity #Greatness
