Thankful for a summary of the EV Tax Credit from my accountant. It's great to see the incentives covered by the financial industry at the points that connect with real people. newsletter.homeactions.net/archive/full_a… via @homeactions

Nice figure from the White House on actual EV sales versus AEO projections (or, as they call them, AEO forecasts, because they are forecasts) whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…

I recommend the book Encouraging Pro Environmental Behavior by Dr. Abrahamse. It's not cheap, but it's valuable. Just found a very high level overview on YouTube of her talk to @ACEEEdc Enjoy a good overview - start at 5 minute mark youtube.com/watch?v=tIzObZ…

"Many of us understand the risks of climate change full well, but we do not accept the responsibility." @ckyoung01 & @climatrisk identify a critical element - what am I doing about my own emissions? #ClimateChange mitigation requires that I act. fastcompany.com/90987246/clima…

After plummeting when COVID hit, air passenger miles in US are back above pre-COVID levels. We've understood that our greenhouse gas #emissions cause #climateChange for decades, but collectively we choose not to act in accordance with this understanding. fred.stlouisfed.org/series/AIRRPMT…

Do we prefer homes powered by #electricity or #methane? And the answer is... As we transition to #electric power, we reduce #greenhouse gas #emissions while also improving health outcomes. Will you commit to making the transition? #electrify climatecommunication.yale.edu/publications/e…

Thanks to @CreationCare Evangelical Environmental Network for highlighting the personal example of Mark Ogland-Hand as he reduces his greenhouse gas #emissions & leaves a low #emission house for years to come. Personal action is #ClimateAction creationcare.org/news-blog/blog…

Speaking of high interest rates & impacts on EV sales: an underappreciated impact of ability of dealers to claim $7500 tax credit on leased vehicles & buyers to claim at point of sale starting January: it acts as $7500 down payment & massively cuts monthly cost of lease or loan!

84% of new light-duty vehicles have gas or diesel internal combustion engines. These cars will be on the road for over a decade. The decision you make on your next large ticket purchase of a car has significant #climate implications. #ClimateAction eia.gov/todayinenergy/…

EVs are expensive! Err... Wait now... What's this ad Im seeing? Just got served this ad from a local VW dealer (hamiltonvw.net/newspecials.ht…). Get a VW id.4 Pro RWD for $191/month, cheaper than either comparable compact gasoline SUVs advertised in the same ad. That is a CHEAP lease.

Worth while reading: #Electrify by @GriffithSaul I didn't agree with many elements, but I truly buy into the over arching theme of the book articulated in 4 quotes... 1/5 mitpress.mit.edu/9780262545044/…
