Phew, our draft comments for HTI-1 are up! smarthealthit.org/2023/06/smart-… has granular recommendations that you can borrow, remix, and tweak (or refute ;-)) in your own submissions to @ONC_HealthIT @SMARTHealthIT

#Poipo beach HI the lifeguard just admonished the beach goers to stay inside the bay. He said , “You’re all adults. I don’t want to say this 1000 times.” I thought I was at an HL7 work group meeting

The future of healthcare delivery will rely in a large part upon how well we implement social needs at the point of care.

The critical next step is integration of this data into the electronic health record so that the information directly impacts clinical decisions at the point of care. The @Helios Project is taking steps to bring the data to public health agencies.

NEW PAPER! Excited to be part of this important work published in @Nature showing the power of #SARSCoV2 wastewater sequencing across @UCSanDiego and @SanDiegoCounty to detect important variants well before they manifest clinically! 👉nature.com/articles/s4158…

PSA: Please cancel NYE plans so we don’t have to cancel surgeries.

Chemo delayed. Surgery postponed. Treatment deferred. Death from #COVID19 is not the only bad outcome.

Building modern systems for healthcare should prepare us for the science we have yet to discover. @kushal kadakia, @michael D Howell, and @KBDeSalvo got it right. “Data modernization initiatives are as much an exercise in change management as they are in technology deployment”.
