LONGLEGS left me feeling sickly and gross after the movie was over, like I just watched something I wasnโt suppose to. Every shot is gorgeous, oozing with hopelessness, dread. Sound design is unsettling and jarring. Avoiding all trailers and marketing paid off, Iโm obsessed.

Fede Alvarez treated #AlienRomulus as a beautiful love letter to the franchise. The cinematography, the shadows, the fog/smoke, the epic sets, the sound design, I couldnโt stop smiling from start to finish. Great cast, my fave David Jonsson with his awesome performance as Andy.

Boy Kills World (2024) Watched this with a fun audience and we had a damn good time! Movie is so random and surprisingly gory with a cheese grater scene that surpasses Evil Dead Rise. Also I couldnโt get Jon Benjaminโs Archer out of my head watching this lol

Monkeyman (2024) is DYNAMIC from start to finish with an absolute banger soundtrack to match. Bloody, brutal, electrifying. I still remember Dev Patelโs Anwar from Skins. He deserves as much resources and creative freedom for his next projects, Iโll be seated. BRAVO! ๐ฉธ
AMC Screen Unseen last night was Guy Richieโs The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. I had A LOT of fun with this one. If you enjoy WW2 political history, guns, and a dreamy Henry Cavill, youโll enjoy this ๐

Battle of the Nuns Double Feature with Immaculate & The First Omen ๐ฉธโ๏ธ๐ฉธ
THE FIRST OMEN is fucking diabolical. Absolutely swings for the fences & delivers some of the most jaw dropping moments Iโve ever seen in a horror film. Grotesque, gorgeous & brilliantly layered in both its 70โs paranoia conspiracy thriller form and themes regarding femaleโฆ
The First Omen (2024) went hardcore. An unsettling slow burn, a dominating epic score, some spooks and really gnarly visceral imagery. Nell Tiger Free goes from subtle to ลปuลawskiโs Possession-level performance much to the delight of us horror fans. This prequel fcking rocks ๐ค๐พ๐ค
Immaculate (2024) was creaky and creepy, with a gnarly ending I watched through my shirt. I was stressed lol. Sydney Sweeney is a scream queen. Horror fans keep winning and the year just started ๐ค๐ค๐พ
AMC Scream Unseen tonight is STING ๐ท๏ธ๐ฉธ I really enjoyed this, but it felt more PG-13 than rated R. This is a perfect spooky fun creature feature to watch with family, if yโall donโt mind a little blood!

Love Lies Bleeding (2024) got me in a rollercoaster of emotions. Katy OโBrian and the subtleties in her performance as Jackie, from endearing to unhinged, was absolutely mesmerizing to watch. I also noticed A LOT of phallic imagery, some being pretty aggressive too lol ๐ค
Been waiting for Stopmotion (2024) to release & Iโm so happy it was worth the hype! It has everything I love: animation, experimental, an artistโs nightmare descent into madness, filled with ooey-gooey body horror & disorienting sound design to match. My fave of the year so far!
Idle Hands (1999) How have I gone through life without watching this movie!? Hilarious and nostalgic, the aesthetics is so deliciously 90s paired with an early 2000s Scary Movie-esque humor and a fantastic cast, plus who doesnโt love an Evil Dead reference?
