Do you really want it or do you want it because a decadent contemporary society crippled by decades of failed capitalism coupled with an obsolete conception of personal success plagued by faulty ideals wants you to want it?

Oh to be a tiny speck of sugar in an infinite spread of tiramisu.

Watching football with a random bunch of guys could heal me.

I feel completely dysfunctional and cannot bring myself to do anything. The amount of absolute insanity we’ve had to deal with for the last five years has dysregulated our psyche forever and this feels like the final blow.

This sleepless night of utter terror will forever be sealed in our collective memory. There’s unspeakable rage in every heart.

Lebanon has sacrificed enough at the altar of this cursed region. Our people are being scapegoated on live TV as the world watches in silence. We face our fate completely alone.

Cannot even tell if the sound is from the sky or from the TV or embedded inside my head at this point.

Watching the annihilation of entire neighborhoods on live TV to the relentless sound of jets was never a conceivable reality.

Having front row tickets to the apocalypse was not on my 2024 vision board.

The search for a will to live amid history-defining atrocities has become impossible.

No entity or regime should be vested with enough power to inflict this much terror. The longer the world remains complicit in covering up war crimes and enabling violence through prolonged impunity, the harder it will be to find a semblance of peace in our humanity’s future.

Our country is completely orphaned and will never be able to make it out of its ordeal without revamped political leadership offering real solutions to lingering issues. The worst has already happened and we are in the eye of the storm. Will anyone take a stand for the people?

The absence of adept political leadership in Lebanon is absolutely appalling.

The fact that we’re expected to carry on with work normally while grappling with a cocktail of repressed traumas and intense emotions as our country is further ravaged at the hands of an ever-raging monster is absolutely insane.

It has become obvious that a new regional deal is underway. But on what terms? And more importantly, how many more people have to die in the process?

Nothing new here.

22 Arab states, a total population of over 473 million people, a combined surface area of 13 million square kilometers, but somehow this barely functioning tiny shithole of a country always has to bite the bullet and bear the consequences on everyone’s behalf.

Having front row tickets to the apocalypse was not on my 2024 vision board.

City played all their cards, had over 25 attempts in the second half, got a man down advantage early on, and still couldn’t score a proper goal. Such uninspiring football. I have no words.

Out of all possible scenarios, Trossard getting a red was the last thing I imagined.
