Praying for all my fellow black people who work in corporate America, who have to walk/log into work today and be the only black face in the room. Days like this are mentally and emotionally exhausting.
It is not good to call people "stupid", and I will refrain from doing so; But many Nigerians truly have reading comprehension challenges, are ignorant of basic facts, have like zero appreciation of contexts, and are rather loud in their ignorance. Not sure I can deal with this.
Please stop acting surprised. A right-wing populist being elected when the people of a country are barely living paycheck to paycheck is, historically speaking, the most predictable thing that could have happened.
I hope minorities especially black people use this to go home and fight for sanity and development in their homes. Not find new ways to adjust to this wave. 🤞
