I would use these cards as hook activities, reviews or to spring some questioning and critical thinking skills!
The great thing about history is showing my students how past events and people have shaped Canada’s identity. I want my students to form connections between past and present events in history and use critical thinking skills to understand the significance. This would be great!
I would use these as a physical/tactile way to build a mind map of Cdn history, looking for connections that link events together, or looking for trends throughout Canadian history by being able to group events together & using historical thinking to analyze trends or connections
I would use it to be part of a larger character activity where they each have a character and they would have to explain how their character would react to the event. Or we could use it to make our own about our lives, school or city. I’m excited!
