The Rocky Top BBQ Society, started by chemical engineering major John Michael Posey, donated 35 lbs of meat to the Salvation Army. Their goal is to perform monthly donations to charities and soup kitchens around East Tennessee, and work towards their 1st BBQ competition.

CBE has purchased an ultrafiltration unit and a fermenter for the Eastman Unit Operations Laboratory, a teaching and research laboratory. #EngineeringVols will get hands-on experience with smaller-scale equipment they may work with in the future. 🔗 bit.ly/3TSU4ul

Meet Manolis Doxastakis, an associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering. Doxastakis’ research uses computational methods as applied to a broad spectrum of soft matter that covers polymer melts, blends, copolymers, lipid membranes, and protein assemblies.


Get acquainted with Prados Professor Gila Stein, associate department head of CBE & director of graduate studies. Stein assists graduate students by supporting them, giving guidance on classes, and speaking to students' questions about progressing through the academic program.
