Hapless Boris Johnson flubbering around the floods, watch this - “I’m not very happy about talking to you...you’ve not helped us.” “You took your time Boris...” Also, the best passive-aggressive “No thank you” ever.😂

77 seconds. That’s how long it takes for Barry Gardiner to • Define the issues of this GE • Explain Tory failings • Explain how Labour would do better He’s that good. #BBCqt

The DfE have always been aware that pupil background & the number of SEN students, affect a school's rating. But if they had taken that into consideration, they wouldn't have been able to force the privatisation of our entire education system. Progress 8 has been a WMD.

51% of schools classed as 'underperforming' would be moved out of this banding if pupil background was included in progress 8, a new report has said schoolsweek.co.uk/half-of-underp…

Make school uniform simple, easily available and get rid of all this overbranded nonsense. School uniform shouldn’t cost £270 average and schools shouldn’t be supporting this style over substance nonsense by robbing pupil premium money. #booksnotlooks

Oh yes. Exactly this.

....RSCs should be answerable and accountable to the people affected by their decisions. They should not be, as civil servants, answerable only to ministers and on rare occasions national select committees. Can you not see the frustration of affected communities at this disconnect?

How true! A corrupt system and not democratic in any aspect in this instance on forced conversion.

Can we push for change? No monopoly or online-only single suppliers of school uniform & an end to unnecessarily branded items? Shopping locally = choice, changing rooms & £ spent in our county. @cllrnickireland @CllrAndrewParry #sewonbadges #schoolties #spendlocally #Dorset

A poll on the monopoly of single suppliers for uniform & expensive branded items, especially in our deprived economic area, would be good. Can #Dorset get ahead of Lord Agnew’s dislike of this ‘pernicious’ practice? Even worse when online only. #brigade schoolsweek.co.uk/agnew-vows-cra…

Agreed. Former NUT organiser @EmmaHardyMP talking sense.

With a proven track record like Aspirations Academy Trust. We feel for the children and parents of Budmouth College. There will be no local accountability when things go wrong and they will. Profits in pockets instead of the school! Watch this space! @DorsetCouncilUK @dorset_s

And he is still happy with the financial viability of Aspirations Academy Trust? God help us all. This is just the beginning. We are very disappointed in this result considering the support of the Full Council and the wider community! We will be watching!

A shocking lack of transparency. Let’s not forget this comment in the ESFA’s covering letter about Aspirations: “A consequence of this could be a drop in pupil numbers and a loss of funding, diminishing the schools [sic] viability further.”

Aspirations Academy Trust are not fit for purpose @lisamannall @RSC_SW What are you hiding from the public? We want to know?

Would be better all round if Dorset Council opposed academies 'in principle', but at least they are prepared to raise serious concerns about the lack of consultation and due diligence. Campaigners have no confidence in Aspirations Academy Trust. dorsetecho.co.uk/news/17810474.…
