Our latest publication is out, evaluating fairness of ML models for predicting forgone preventive dental care. @marianefurtado_ @SaudenoBR @dental_harvard

Machine learning models accurately predicted foregone preventive dental care; the models had low precision in discriminating the outcome for underrepresented minority groups, highlighting the importance of evaluating algorithms’ fairness. ja.ma/46VqaKI
