#ACoMVeC student #training workshop took place from November 5th- 6th, 2024 in @UVRIug #PhD students from several countries were present. Participants had courses on #Heterogeneity; Uncertainty; Modelling and policy; #Grant Writing, #Dynamic System analysis tools and other key.

#ACoMVeC annual meeting was held in #Uganda. It opened on November 4th with a welcome word by the project’s PI, Prof @cwondji Postdocs made an overview and progress of their #research activities. Among them were @MicheleYimga, Dr William Kuipou and Dr Luther Manyombe from #CRID.

#CRID staff attended the Research Administration and Management Programme (#RAMP) training. It was organised by @LSTMnews in Yaoundé from October 28th- 30th, 2024. 22 administration staff took part in this workshop, focusing on : Project management, Finance and Administration.

Wednesday October 23rd 2024. @NgalaMuyu, internal controller at #CRID conducted a work session on #safeguarding . The 15 participants were newly recruted staff. They learned about types of abuse one could encounter in research, as well as our role in preventing abuse.

Today, October 14th 2024, CRID received Dr Sarah Zohdy and @DrJudithHedje from @CDCgov After a work session with CRID’s Head of Departments, they toured the institution's laboratories and insectaries. The visit focused on @PMIgov plan to support Malaria control in Cameroon.

CRID's Executive Director, @cwondji made a presentation during the @acegid international symposium. In his talk, he explained the genetic basis of insecticide resistance in African malaria vectors, and its impact on control tools. The event lasted from October 7 - 9 in Nigeria.

September 26, 2024. @mirdadkazanji, General Director of @CentrePasteur, and Dr. @SEyangoh visited CRID. The delegation was impressed at CRID’s equipment and team. Both parties agreed to combine their efforts to eradicating vector-borne diseases in Cameroon.

3rd Pamca Conference Session 4. @TatianeAssatse shared her study with participants, demonstrating that Anopheles funestus populations across Africa are generally susceptible to neonicotinoids, although there are indications of potential cross-resistance linked to the GSTe2 gene.
