the decisions that the @californiapuc made during these past couple years to destroy NEM and VNEM have left the #solar industry in #california with bullet holes in its guts. 17000 jobs lost...multiple solar companies filing for #bankruptcy...when is it going to stop? the CPUC…

The IOUs like @PGE4Me continue to push our buttons but don't want to get bit in the ass. The @californiapuc and @CAgovernor are hard at work to be a cushion for PG&E's ass to sit comfortably on. Tragic. #Energy #Solar #Renewables #Investor #Utilities #RenewableEnergy #Policy

Here in California, the investor-owned utilities are raising our electricity prices because customers are installing solar panels. The IOUs see solar panels & batteries as competition. Captured regulatory agencies protect the IOUs & blame rooftop solar customers for higher rates.

Totally agree with Jake. THIS is so beyond frustrating...the "cost shift" lie is just that, a lie. #Rooftop solar will help our state and country be reducing the grid's burden through self-consumption!

The short answer is... NO! #Electricity prices in #California are NOT rising because more people are installing rooftop #Solar. Such a tall tale spun by @PGE4Me to have everyone still rely on them.

U.S. has installed 20 GW/80 GWh of batteries, equivalent to the peak power of 20 1-GW nuclear plants, in 4 years, with 5 GW added in first 7 mon of 2024. The batteries already helped prevent outages during heat waves. Another 20 GW expected by 2025. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Exactly! This is a conversation that I've had recently with some older family members of mine. They have a skewed picture of the possibilities of #Renewables and #RenewableEnergy. They don't realize that in #California alone, #Wind + #Solar did more than #Coal in the past year!

Just because you see a lot of them on your road trips, doesn't mean there is enough...

It's just not true! This whole narrative about a shift in cost caused by #Rooftop #Solar is a ploy by @PGE4Me to give rooftop solar a bad rep. PG&E does this because they don't want their #Profit to go away. It doesn't actually make anything more expensive. #CleanEnergy #Energy

California has lots of solar homes, but researchers argue that home solar panels are raising the price of electricity and reducing the need for cheaper large solar farms — making the entire transition to clean energy more expensive. washingtonpost.com/climate-soluti…

With solar panels, farmland can pull double duty: producing veggies and clean energy at the same time. Win-win! n.pr/30nODve
