With respect, this is economically illiterate. No matter what you call your building—luxury, super luxury, super duper luxury—you can’t charge more than people are willing to pay. All else equal, adding units to the market can only lower prices.

In NYC the real estate boom has raised rents as most new constructions are luxury buildings which incentivize existing landlords to raise their rent to the new average. planetizen.com/blogs/128443-u….

Every four years or so, one party goes a bit further on muscling in or out judges than the other one went the last time around. So you can’t begrudge Ds if they do this. But at least when Rs do it they put extremely talented people on the bench.

Will Dems get rid of Justice Sotomayor? I’m getting calls about #SupremeCourt My answer? No. Dems floating rumors for her to retire - Kamala to replace her. 1st: How offensive to Sotomayor, 1st Latina to serve on SC 2nd: She won’t retire 3rd: Not enough time for nomination…

Why is this man not on the FTC ⬇️

These are not “false earnings claims.” When a firm advertises you can earn “up to” some amount, it’s stating the maximum amount you may earn, not the average or expected amount. All non-idiots know that. 1/2

Thank you for coming! It was a terrific event!

I had the honor today of debating Prof. Rebecca @HawAllensworth on the limits of antitrust. I was thrilled with the huge turnout of students. Many thanks to @vanderbiltlaw for hosting me & to Prof. Allensworth for her gracious engagement & for challenging my views. Learned a lot!

Coming to you live from West End Avenue in the Jaspers parking lot where it appears the @VandyFootball student body is taking the goalpost to Broadway… I love you Nashville never change. #AnchorDown

This is nuts & totally embarrassing for ⁦@Princeton⁩. The latest episode of Advisory Opinions discusses Princeton’s clarifications, which are even worse. Would love to hear ⁦@McCormickProf⁩’s take. thefire.org/cases/princeto…

With respect @Schwartzesque, the outlier last term was the Second not the Fifth. The Second’s reversal rate was twice as high—and its unanimous reversal rate four times as high! The Fifth is no where near the old Ninth territory: fedsoc.org/commentary/fed…
