Kindness > Honesty > Clarity > Correctness > Efficiency. - Jeff Erickson (Prof. of CS, UIUC)

it’s so funny that you can hear this image.

while growing up, i’ve dreamt of this. was so so excited when i saw so many folks esp. in the valley, building out from their garages. skunkworks was a huge inspiration. i aspire to build one when i accumulate enough wealth.

american garage privilege is insane

time to quote @BMTheEquityDesk tesla, bitcoin or nvidia — if any one of this works, the US economy will flourish. at the moment, i feel all of them are killing it.

pessimists sound smart, optimists make money. —deeply felt this.

bang on.

You have to realise that what you get from the society is the average opinion, which by definition works to make one an average individual.

“roar outside the family, talk politely inside the family.” this is utter bullshit. sometimes, parents need (mental) belting. they need to learn how to behave. my parents have transfer nothing but trauma to me. you respond the way the other person treats you.

😍

What is life, if not a series of obsessions?

thankfully i've still kept my ig profile similar to the one stated above.

I rarely use Instagram now more than 10sec to just quickly upload a story. But I did today and realised how much of the old Instagram we have lost. Just a random sample from @mister_whistler’s wall for example (whom I follow for a long time on Insta specifically for his…

at this point, i’ve recalibrated my expectations and ambitions. i think i need to focus on settling down on a marriage. i’ve done so many mental simulations. career does matter. but, there’s only so much in your control. let’s see how things go about.

thx. for this yaar. precisely what i wanted to hear.

You have to put a lot of high quality work out there before the world starts paying attention to you. Most people don’t realise this, and they unfortunately give up after a few tries, assuming nobody will ever care about what they’re passionate about.

the people of hongkong really really love their money. esp. the girls. i got the opportunity to meet with some of them. very aggressive i must say. also, the attitude they have towards money is sth i need to absorb.

first they take 10 months deposit. and then they rip you off by not sending your own money back. low trust society, low trust activities.

the biggest scam in bangalore is when you are leaving an apartment and the owner sends you a fraction of the security deposit claiming “damage” or something despite no evidence. I’ve lived in maybe 10 apartments and this illegal retention of deposit has happened every single time

at this point, can we just get rid of intel? so much noise around it, we all know it's a sinking ship. just give up bro.

the risk appetite of the wealthy is extremely huge. maybe that's they also tend to have a really thick skin.

the rich will always be ahead and they will keep getting richer. rich getting richer, poor getting poorer. i am able to internalize it in a deeper way now. access to opportunities, be it investing or otherwise, there’s no comparison.

man, there’s so much money to be made in the primary markets. PE/VC/Debt etc. these are so much hidden to public investor.

Person of Interest

A series that was a 10/10 from beginning to end??

ditto in tw. the public civility makes me fall in love with the people here.

10. When preparing for an arriving train, passengers stand along the lines that mark the position of the doors of each car and the doors of the cars arrive exactly at these lines. Nobody pushes anyone and everyone waits calmly.

aka low trust society.

Although Zomato has clarified that original customer eill pays 100% of order cost, this here is what's wrong with average Indian mentality.... trying to get something for nothing, looking for loopholes instead of good faith as default, and generally being an insufferable dehati.
