Little Dipper Farm in Brooklyn is a gem and quickly becoming a popular tourism spot in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner. The property is 588 acres, and they recently sold 317 acres to a trust for preservation. With festivals, hiking, “glamping” and more, its popularity is growing!

I am very appreciative to @USDA @SecVilsack and the Biden administration for listening to our concerns and approving our request. I urge any Connecticut farmer who has been impacted by this summer's flooding to apply to their local @USDAFSA office as soon as possible.

Bryan Hurlburt Reposted

I just received notification from @SecVilsack that our request has been approved for Connecticut to receive a federal agriculture disaster declaration due to this summer's heavy rain and flooding. This means that much-needed support will be on its way to our state's farmers.

I appreciate the opportunity to meet with some of our state's oyster farmers! With more than 70,000 acres of shellfish farms under cultivation in CT's coastal waters, the shellfish industry is a vibrant sector of our economy and an important driver of tourism to our state.

Awesome visit earlier today with @GovNedLamont, DoAg Commissioner Bryan Hurlburt, and Senator Somers at the Noank Aquaculture Cooperative! 🦪 Thank you Governor for coming to the district to meet with our local shellfishing industry. We hope you enjoyed the oysters!
