My old mum passed away recently, no surprise, but still as great loss. Sorting out what’s what, a years supply of incontinence pants I tried to return to the NHS. Told to take them to a care home or dump them. No wonder it’s finances are in such dire straits, disgusted!

There is hope for society today. I had a conversation recently with a young lad (well in his forties) who worked for one of the major utility companies. In the conversation it emerged that he had done the knowledge in the companies time. How very 1970s, love it!
Entered a Youngs pub yesterday evening, ordered a light and Special, elixir of my youth. Barman says ‘Don’t do light ales and the Special is being phased out as Punch Taverns have bought the pubs’. Another part of history disappears up the Swanny.
