It’s amazing how The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker still reads as if it is speaking on thought processes of current day while also foreshadowing the history that came to past for it.
Its frustrating that I ever made actions that hurt someone and rationalized it to become okay. We truly are our own worst enemies

I became so good at hiding who I was, that even I had trouble finding out who I really was when it was time to step forward.
