"Paul Splittorff wasn't blessed with a 100-mph fastball, he wasn't blessed with a Bert Blyleven curve, he wasn't blessed with a tremendous changeup, but he was blessed a good brain. He knew how to pitch. He was blessed with a big heart, and put it all on the line" George Brett…

Re-watched the quite underrated BREWSTER’S MILLIONS, which turned 40 this year and was the first Richard Pryor film I saw in a cinema. Its premise (man inherits $30 million, but must spend it in 30 days to get $300 million) was so novel. Pryor/John Candy were such a great duo.

Happy Birthday to Hall of Famer Fred McGriff! The Crime Dog’s overlooked HOF candidacy was the focus of many of my initial articles & served as the catalyst for me to get back into writing & start my website in 2011.

Freddie Freeman will go down as one of the greatest, most impactful World Series MVPs of all time. He drove in 12 runs, set an all-time record for homers in consecutive WS games, hit the first-ever walk-off grand slam in WS history, and did it all on a bad ankle. He is amazing.

Drop whatever you're doing, folks Freddie Freeman has just set a new MLB record by homering in SIX CONSECUTIVE WORLD SERIES GAMES dating back to 2021

Teri Garr was in one of the funniest Tales From The Crypt episodes of all time, The Trap, directed by Michael J Fox. I always recommend including this episode when having a Tales marathon. She was as funny as she was beautiful and gave some memorable moments. She will be missed.
